Who is Dr. Serkan Aygin?
Dr. Serkan Aygin was born in 1968 and graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. After his initial medical training,
he went on to specialise in clinical pharmacology at Istanbul University and in dermatology at Vakıf Gureba Hospital.
He worked as a dermatologist in the dermatology and hair diseases clinic at Vakıf Gureba Hospital,
and he has been treating hair loss since 1996.
Dr. Serkan Aygin is an internationally renowned hair transplant doctor with 22 years of experience in the field. He performs hair transplants at his own private clinic, the Dr. Serkan Aygin Clinic, where he carries out successful hair transplant procedures every day for patients from all over the world.
Dr. Serkan Aygin and FUE hair transplantation
In 2004, as hair transplant techniques were evolving, Dr. Serkan Aygin was introduced to the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique at an international seminar he attended outside Turkey.
He then began using it in place of the FUT (strip) technique.
Since 2006, Dr. Serkan performs hair transplants using the FUE method.
The clinic also performs body hair transplants, in which hair is taken from the chest or beard so that more grafts can be transplanted when the donor area is weak.
Having gained extensive experience in the field,
Dr. Serkan began using one of the latest hair transplant techniques, known as Sapphire FUE.
Sapphire is a type of gemstone, and the sapphire tool is used to open the channels.
This technique is a development and extension of the FUE technique; it is not a new or different technique invented by Dr. Serkan.

Dr. Serkan Aygin regularly attends conferences in different countries to give presentations on hair transplantation.
He has taken part in 39 international conferences around the world,
and during these conferences he also meets patients. To date, Dr. Serkan has performed tens of thousands of successful hair transplants for a wide variety of cases.
In the Arab world, Dr. Serkan Aygin (Dr. Serkan) enjoys a high profile, as he is considered one of the first Turkish doctors to build a strong reputation there, particularly in the Gulf region.
